Patti J. Gardner serves on the FEI KC Board as Auditor. She joined FEI in 2012 because, “It gave me the opportunity to network with peers, as well as providing great continuing education.”
Before recently retiring, Patti spent 14 years with non-profit organizations, 10 years in private industry, and16 years in public accounting. She was most recently the CFO of Camp Fire National Headquarters.
Patti Graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and currently holds a CPA license in the State of Missouri.
She lives in Overland Park and enjoys traveling with Kenneth, her husband of 21 years. Patti’s daughter, Julie Klinko lives in Mission, Kansas.
Patti has held numerous leadership roles with Stilwell United Methodist Church and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee and Treasurer of the Stilwell United Methodist Women. Patti has also served as a facilitator for the church’s Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University course.
When asked why she chose a career in finance, Patti said, “Since my first bookkeeping class in high school, I knew I wanted to be an accountant. My grandmother and mother both worked in the accounting field, so I guess it’s in my genes.”
