Insperity is a Kingwood, Texas-based professional employer organization (PEO) and HR outsourcing company celebrating 40 years in business, founded in 1986 as Administaff before rebranding to Insperity in 2011. It provides HR administration, payroll, benefits, compliance, talent acquisition, and retirement services primarily to small and midsize businesses (from under 50 up to 5,000 employees), organized around products like Insperity HR360, HR Core, and the newer HR Scale offering, which was built through a 2024 strategic partnership with Workday to serve higher-growth companies. The company was an early architect of the PEO industry itself, having pushed for the 1993 Texas Staff Leasing Act and later becoming a Certified Professional Employer Organization (CPEO) with the IRS in 2017.
